Last night it went down, a panel of high caliber African American individuals face off about “Why Can’t Successful Black Women Find a Husband?” The two-hour face off discussion was moderated by Steve Harvey and Nightline’s Vicki Mabrey and featured Sherri Shepherd, Jacque Reid, Hill Harper and Jimi Izrael.
Most black women and men will not be married for 82 years like Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher. The last time I read about this the Craven County, N.C., couple was at 103 and 102 years old, is the longest-living married couple in the world, and they have the certificate from Guinness World Records book 2 prove it. Some of might need to Tweet relationship questions to the world’s longest-married couple to find out how to get married and stay that way in regardless of your race.
Anyone care to discuss this topic? Is this just a successful black women issue or is a lot of women experiencing this issue among their own groups? Is this topic becoming more obvious now that we have an African American married couple in the White House?
