Miami Herald photographer Patrick Farrell captured the images of the victims of Haiti in 2008. Farrell documented the Haitian tragedy. The subject of “After the Storm” is a boy who is trying to save a stroller after the tropical storm Hanna struck Haiti.

As we get closer to the close of Black History Month less we forget about Katrina which was the most horrific environmental United States disasters that I have ever witnessed during my lifetime. We can only hope that the people who suffer any form of natural disaster are able to recover their lives to some form of normalcy.
Collectively digital imaging and technology has bridged a global gap that allows individuals from all walks of life to become witnesses to folks celebrations, joyful moments, painful memories and long suffering that has become archived forever in time.
