It being reported that airplanes are circling in the sky above Haiti unable to land the aircraft’s. They are encountering issues with space and than once on the ground how would they get to the people. This is much different than your textbook information….you know the theory until it actually has to be implemented. Lets all pray for our troops, volunteers, doctors, government and all the folks who really don’t know what the next minute will bring in Haiti. This is a sad human experience to watch unfold on many levels. I will probably cover this Haiti story for the next couple of days. My mind is not on photography, gossip nor what the next celebrity is wearing and who they are sleeping with.
Keep up to date and don’t miss a beat with CNN on the computer streaming live. CNN has a website dedicated to finding individuals with pictures. Right now Haiti is only equipped to allow a handful of aircrafts, many flights are being canceled and there are 11 flights hovering over Haiti.
Update at 12:29 PM: The FAA has cancel all flight to Haiti. Term to describe this is ground stop…basically not enough space on the ground to accept all the aircraft’s. A bottleneck effect…logistically there are encountering some serious issues. Fuel issues to get there and get off the island? There is only one airstrip and one airfield, basically one road in and one road out with no fuel facilities nearby.
How did the Haitian people manage to survive all of this time without modern technology and facilities?
