I know I said I was going to take a time out but I could not resist posting this photo which is worth trillions. I received this in my email bag a few moments ago. Are these the same folks who can’t come to an agreement and will allow the government to be shutdown this Friday? Uh huh!
Caption: Can you believe this???
This picture is worth a trillion $$
House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues Rep. Barbara Lambert, D-Milford and Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, D-Bridgeport, play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a new budget. (AP)
The guy sitting in the row in front of these two…he’s on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.
These are the folks that couldn’t get the budget out by Oct. 1, and are about to control your health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on and on….
Should we buy them larger screen computers – or – a ticket home, permanently?
This is one of their 3-DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for (salary is about $179,000 per year).
KEEP THIS GOING! DON’T LET IT STOP WITH YOU!
Update: 4:20 PM
This picture was not taken on Monday, it was taken in 2009 by photographer Jessica Hill. It is a real picture…one of my Facebook peeps directed me to Snopes to reveal additional information about the photo.
I post any and all information as it appears in my email inbox. Feel free to send me anything that you would like for me to bring to the attention of my readers.
What is amazing to me are some of the comments about how old this picture is as if that makes it right for the folks to be playing solitaire, surfing Facebook and checking scores. To be perfectly honest “Mona Lisa” photo and portrait is old. This is the first time I’ve have ever seen this picture. It may be the first time a lot of folks that visit my blog has seen the photo. Therefore it is a new photo to me.
When elected officials are not doing their jobs and get caught screwing up. It leads me to believe folks are being blindsided into believing the elected folks are working for the people. We all have a responsibility to bring it to everyone attention around the world. I think is it disrespectful that the elected officials are playing solitaire, etc. while the speaker was delivering his speech. Goes to show these folks can give a damn about the working class folks….YUP! I said it!
