Last night I updated my Instagram application by deleting the application from my iPhone and re-installing the app via the App store. The social photo networking 2.0 Instagram app update is packed with new instant live filters, live tilt-shift, the ability to turn borders on or off, the ability to rotate photos and added 4 new filters.
What is really remarkable about the Instagram 2.0 update is the ability to upload to Flickr, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Email and Foursquare. Not sure where the photos are appearing on Foursquare? This is a huge update for the social media photo-sharing tool. This will cut down the productivity time for iphoneography photo sharing loving folks like me that love to blast photos into cyberspace all at once. The iPhone photos size range on Flickr from 75 x 75, 100 x 100, 240 x 240, 500 x 500, and 612 x 612.
Note: It may behoove iPhoneographers when updating their iPhones to save their iPhone images in folders to an external drive for future use. #randomthought I had today. I was deleting my iPhone images as soon as I uploaded them but then thought…why the heck would am doing that?
Wish list for next Instagram release:
- Instragram will add a permanent box for hashtags.
- Copyright box to mark each iPhoneography photo Example © 2011 Delores Randall. You never know if in the future there will be a market for a stock agency or Getty Images may notice your iPhoneography photo for you to sell.
