Start with the empty water bottles you would recycle or throw away in the trash. I used water bottles because that is what I had laying around the crib when I was inspired to start my Garlic plants.

Peel the skin off the Garlic. Placed in a bowl of water, sit by the window and watch what happens next. What you may notice with fresh Garlic when it is stored in the refrigerator that it will have green sprouts growing out of the Garlic cloves. That is the beginning stage of growing your own garlic plant….

You know those water bottles you buy from the grocery store. YUP! Cut the bottles in half with scissors. Very easy. Put water at the bottle of the plastic, fill with dirt halfway, place Garlic clove with the green sprout sticking out. Add more dirt and water.

Place in the Garlic gloves near a window with plenty of sunlight. Water periodically I am excited to grow my own Garlic. I am hopeful that I will be able to grow an abundance of Garlic. Perhaps I will be creative. Make my own Garlic powder, minced garlic and eat garlic in everything I consume.

Note.: Don’t worry about having fancy flowers pots and planters when you first attempt to start a garden. I’ve been told it will get better and prettier looking as time go by. I believe that because I grow houseplants. I wanted to start a garden last summer but I when I came back from Japan, it rained alot around these parts when I returned home. I had not completed enough research about gardening….yada yada. I figure since I am an green thumb, I love to eat vegetables and I wrinkle my frown my forehead at the rising cost of produce at grocery stores. Why not start growing my own herbs and vegetables? Duh…besides I can’t eat my houseplants.
