Gucci and Frida Giannini served subdued colors punctuated by Kilim patterns on clothes and accented by sparse bright hues in some irresistible accessories when it presented its Spring Summer 2010 Mens collection in Milan. What was very interesting to watch in the video is that the men are carrying large men handbags and skinny pants. The large handbags are gorgeous! Gucci has partnered with Christie’s to offer an entirely unique appraisal experience. “Gucci Collector: Presented by Christie’s” is the first Gucci-certified online destination for appraising the brand’s vintage goods. Starting today, this free service will be offered through Gucci.com; simply upload photos of your vintage items and, within two to four weeks, you’ll find out an auction estimate. Director of Fashion and Textiles, Patricia Frost, will even let you know if your item is appropriate for an upcoming Christie’s vintage sale. This exciting service coincides with the house’s plans to open the first Gucci museum in Florence (the birthplace of the brand) in time for its 90th anniversary in 2011.
