Life is very challenging for a lot of individuals nowadays….the digital images are iPhone manufacture Foxconn employees and the ralley is meant to convey a message of hope to prevent any more suicides from occurring at the plant. I hope this ralley can help someone reconsider taking their life and committing suicide. Following a string of suicides at its Chinese factories, Foxconn Technology Group raised workers’ wages and installed safety nets on buildings to catch would-be jumpers. Now the often secretive electronics manufacturer and maker of the iPhone is holding rallies for its workers to raise morale at it’s heavily regimented factories. Foxconn also announced two raises, more than doubling the basic worker pay to 2,000 yuan (C$302) a month at the Shenzhen compound. Workers are required to pass a three-month review period before they qualify for the second raise. People are stressed around the world…..now we know it is not just in the United States that the economy has taken an nosedive and unemployment is at staggering numbers. Folks are losing their minds under the stress and pressures of life.

“Treasure Your Life, Love Your Family, Care for Each Other to Build a Wonderful Future” and will be held at all of the company’s facilities in China.

According to Burson Marsteller, a public relations firm representing Foxconn.

“For a long period of time I think we were kind of blinded by our success,” said Louis Woo, special assistant to Terry Gou, the founder of Foxconn’s parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Company Ltd. “We were kind of caught by surprise.”

On Wednesday, a rally took place at Foxconn’s mammoth industrial park in Shenzhen, a site which employs 300,000 and where most of the suicides took place.
