Angela Howard by Keith Howard
I remember a quote by Bishop T.D. Jakes during one of his sermons that I pull out every now and again to reflect upon. A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”
What I received from Bishop Jakes message was that a man gift’s will take him further in life than a bunch of nonsense. It is a complete waste of energy and time focus on idle time. If your unemployed; now is the time to reach down on the inside of you and pull the gift out. If your a student; focus on something beside your major that is your heart desire. If your a wife; fill the time gaps with your gifts, write a book, plant something or encourage and manage the families gift. If your single, the sky is the limit to grow your gifts if you remain focus and steadfast. I don’t have all the answers but one thing is certain for me. I love photography, blogging, talking, reading and being part of a family structure that allows me to grow their gifts and mine. It is not a perfect ride…matter of fact it can be a bumpy ride that can make you want to reconsider and throw in the towel. Don’t allow naysayers and hatemongers to rob you of your gifts. Those who already at the forefront who are selfish with their information, resources and gifts hinder you from discovering your gifts….yeah those folks! Don’t live your life through someone else destiny and rob yourself of discovering your own precious gifts…that in itself is boring if you were to ask me….than again you didn’t ask me but I am telling you will be one miserable person if you go that route. No two folks are alike and nor are their dreams and aspirations. Most successful people never gave up their gift nor their dreams. Did you give up on your dreams and allow the gift on the inside of you to die?
Plant a mustard seed of faith and allow the gift to sprout and grow into fruition. Pray on the gift and ask the “God” that you serve to guide your footsteps and to be the light of your path. We all have a special gift that we are anointed with to serve this world. Some of us find it sooner than others, some of us stumble upon it accidentally and some of us may never discover the gift at all. Despite what you may think you want to study or become in this world, we all have a gift to serve others…one day you will look up from all the work and sowing the seed of faith. Standing in the mirror and the reflection will be you living your dream from the gift that was down on the inside of you. I firmly believe that we all get our 15 minutes to be at the foot of great men. Are you using your gifts? Have you begun to put a plan in action to implement the gift for exposure?
Keith Howard’s gift is in his artistic abilities that is conveyed in his Superheroes comic book coming to a store near you soon. I am inspired!
