Homeless Wheelchaired Man Blog Spotlight | Grants for Editorial Photography

Getty Images has been offering “Grants for Good” for students and photojournalist since 2005. The  next deadline is May 1 for editorial photography. Will you be submitting an digital image this year? Go ahead….you may be the next photographer awarded the grant.

Of all of my digital images I have taken while visiting Las Vegas….this digital image makes me ponder about the wheelchair bound man with an amputated limb? What is his story? Is he a veteran who fought in the war? How did he end up on the streets begging for money? He was just sitting there in his wheelchair and I don’t recall if he ever looked up at the passerby’s.
