The mother of the 10-year-old model whose sexy photos in French Vogue unleashed criticism for being too seductive brushed aside the controversy over the racy pictures; as they should. The pre-pubescent youngster Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau, models a figure-hugging red evening gown. That right there is why men are looking at our little girls as sexual objects. French Vogue (Tom Ford) should be ashamed of themselves for promoting models as young as 10 years old posing and gazing into the camera with sultry stares, hips jotting out suggestively and giving pucker pouty lips. The mother really did not say “mind your business” but she should have with her lame comment. The parent of this precious 10 year old child says she is surprise her darling child is wearing a worth 3 million ($4.3 million),” the child’s mother, Veronika Loubry, told the French press, in response to the controversy. Uh huh!
But critics slammed the provocative pictorial featuring the budding Blondeau as “creepy” and “inappropriate.”
The photos had appeared in the January issue of the French fashion glossy, but re-emerged this summer as part of a UK discussion into the sexualization of children in media and advertising.
The photographer “Every photo that you are using except for the Vogue image belongs to Dani Brubaker. Since the article is in a negative tone we wish to not participate. Brubaker is feeling a bit dismayed that anyone would take offense to her portfolio of work. Well of course she would, she is a highly paid celebrity photographer that is surrounded by “YES” folks that obviously have no boundaries when shooting young “kids!” If French Vogue wanted folks talking about their magazine….they were effective in stirring the media, parents and blogs around the globe.
