Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards program.

The dining guide awards program recognizes restaurants whose list offer interesting selections, appropriate to the cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. The award excellence boast 2,957 winners, best of award of excellence boast 816 winners and the the grand award boast 72 winners. The dining guide listing comprised of loacation and basic contact information and detailed information for each state, such as the restaurant’s wine strengths and type of cuisine.

The list gives you the scoop on the wine director/sommelier, wine strengths, wine selections, wine prices, corkage, cuisine type and menu prices. The award list evaluate wine lists, not restaurants as a whole. They don’t claim the restaurant food is all that and they have not visit all of the restaurants on their list, although all of the Grand Award winners and many others are inspected by Wine Spectator editors.
