Mind Your Business

I am sitting here listening to the Michael Baison show. One of tonight’s topic is “Living your dreams” series and it very interesting listening to some of the callers. He is letting the listeners know that they can post their resume, business ideals and business opportunities on iseecolor. There are a lot of people out there who say they want to start a business but have no ideal how to get started. One of his questions tonight is if someone walked up to you and gave you a million dollars what would you do with it? He said a lot of people wouldn’t be ready and would not know how to use the money. That my summary of what I got from his question. Don’t quote me on that because I am typically multitasking when I am listening to the radio. iseecolor is all about networking. I am now taking a class call “Small Business Entrepreneurship”, Business 109. The course has been extremely helpful and informational. One of the requirements for the class is to write a business plan and conduct an presentation as if your in front of a banker or an Angel. On the Michael Baison show some of the callers are asking these type of questions: What type of business form is best and how do you form a business? I live in the state of Maryland and I am sure that the business information here is no different than anywhere else. The only advice I can give is have your paperwork in order, pay your taxes and continue to educate yourself so that you can be innovative. I took the Business class for enrichment and to keep abreast of the Business world. I hope that you find this information helpful. Attached is a copy of my take home exam with answers. These are primarily business questions are on the exam. I got an 96% on the exam. Perhaps I should become a business guru and give workshops to those who need business information. What kind of business can you start? With the economy going down hill perhaps it is time to think about “minding your own business”.

You need to tell that old job “So What” cause your gonna make it. Keep your head up!

The text book used in the Business class: “Entrepreneurship In Action Second Edition”, Mary Coulter. I purchased the book online at half price books for $7.00 plus $6 shipping fee. The college bookstore wanted $126.00 for a new book and $96.00 for a used. I received the book within less than a week.
