All of us need a daily dose of inspiration for our souls from time to time especially during the worst economic crisis this country has ever seen since the depression. I don’t care who you are or how strong you think you are; there will come a time in all of our lives if you live long enough that you will need a mustard seed of faith to help you put one foot in front of the other. Ask any0ne who has lived long enough….I am sure they have a story that will surprise you about how they made it through their storm. We all must hold onto our enduring faith to get us through this trying time. When all else fails; you better look up with both eyes and pray to your God to help you stand, become stronger with faith that you will prevail despite it all and to help you wage a war against the devil. “The Stellar Awards” on the “Gospel Channel” will be airing the biggest night in Gospel music and recognizing talented artist on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 7:00 PM. I watch it every year as long as I can remember, anyone who know black folks would know that we come from a lineage that is deeply rooted in spirituality and religion. You know there is a difference between the two…I like to think that I am more spiritual than religious. Your relationship is between you and your God. I am truly inspired from all of the performances and inspiration radiating from my television screen. Gospel music has come a mighty long way!

Now, Philippians 2:5-11 is probably an early Christian hymn, written by early Christians who profess Christian faith, and was quoted by Paul in his letter to the Philippians.
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Whose name is this that is above every name, so that every knee should bow and every tongue confess? Now these Christian hymnists must have known the Old Testament, and must have written this song with Isaiah 45:23-25 in mind.
Isaiah 45:23-25 By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’ 24 “Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory.”
