There was a time in my life many eons ago I thought I wanted to become a lawyer….keyword, use to want to be an lawyer. Fast forward 10 plus years later, marriage that came with rearing two wonderful full of energy boys and challenging life changing moments…I have not finished completing my undergraduate Criminology degree. I had difficulty with the Math, it kicks me in the brain. I have taken an Algebra class at the University of Maryland at least eight times..kid you not! The department dean of BSOS at the time told me to attend an community college, take my required math courses and transfer them back in towards my CCJS degree. At that time I have completed the entire Criminology program except for the Research, Statistics and math courses. I had a choice to either change my major to continue at the University of Maryland campus or time out until I completed the required two math classes at my local community college. The dean thought it would be easier than taking the course at UM…. I am hopeful that one day I will complete the math courses.
