R.I.P Teddy Pendergrass

Teddy Pendergrass the Philadelphia soul man age of 59, legendary R&B crooner passed away in Philadelphia yesterday. Media reports said on Thursday. Pendergrass’s son, Teddy Pendergrass II, told the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper that his father died on Wednesday at a Philadelphia-area hospital. He had undergone colon cancer surgery eight months ago and his son said he had a difficult recovery. Pendergrass, who was born in Philadelphia in 1950, suffered a spinal cord injury in a 1982 car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down – he was still able to sing.
