The Combs’ issued a press release Tuesday through a Manhattan-based PR firm, DKC, which might mark the first time in history a two-star recruit has issued a press release to confirm his commitment. Check out Justin Combs defensive film on the field.:
“Today I am truly blessed and thankful to accept my scholarship and give my full commitment to UCLA. Playing Division I football was a lifelong dream of mine, and through hard work I was able to achieve it. I am a living testament that with a strong relationship with God, family, and hard work dreams do come true.”
NCAA rules prohibit UCLA from commenting publicly on any prospective student-athlete, including confirmation of verbal commitments. The commitment is not binding until Combs signs a letter of intent in February.
Daddy Diddy or P. Diddy or Puff gleaming with excitement and pure happiness shared these words.:
As a parent, today is one of the proudest moments of my life. This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about. Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream.
When scholarships are awarded to an student on merit. Their parents financials are not considered on the application. Apparently this child academic profiled qualified him to received a FULL ride. Good for him and KUDOS to UCLA for giving Combs a perk that he is clearly eligible to receive. My boys were receipt-ants of full rides to the Air Force Academy and West Point Military school. If you know that you want your child to get an college education. Stick to an regimen that will push the child to exceed academically and athletically. Don’t wait until the last year of high school to figure it out…start shaping that child’s future from the very beginning.
