What is “love”? It depends on who yu ask the question? What does “love” have to do with it? A whole lot at the end of the day…it depends on how you measure “love”! Are you in love this memorial day weekend? Hmmmm….minus the hotdogs, hamburgers, coleslaw, beer, wine, champagne and fanfare…look across the room at the person that you proclaim to love and renew the thought of love in your mind. I learned about love over the last two days and from the last couple of years watching my “my godsent” mother attend to my “godsent” healthcare during his down time. Are you willing to stand by the person you “say” you love when they are on their lowest point? Can you hang with the person you claim to love as they get older? What will you do when that person you love really need you? I don’t mean bringing them a sandwich, going out to a night on the town, hanging out at the club…..when the person you say that you love really need you to be the vessell of “love” in their life?
I define “LOVE” in these words and they are the words that I hope sustain me when I need to check myself! Read in the bible for yourself First Corinthian 13:4 or better yet read both Corinthians 1&2 for a biblical lesson and to learn the scripture. What about you, are you truly in love love this memorial day weekend?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
