After appealing to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) via Twitter to put an end to the military’s “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy earlier this week, Lady Gaga has expanded her pitch with a new video calling on the entire U.S. Senate to end the policy. In the video, Gaga calls her own senator (Chuck Schumer) which after a few rings is directed to a voice message box that is overloaded with other messages. Gaga said she try calling again and you should to to prevent the prejudice against gay men and women who serves in the arm forces.

“I am a constituent of the senator,” begins Gaga. “I am calling the senator to vote with Sens. Harry Reid and Carl Levin to repeal, ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ and oppose John McCain’s shameless filibuster. We need to do this for our gay and lesbian soldiers and finally repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’”

“I am here to vote for my generation,” Gaga tells viewers. “Not the generation of senators who are voting but for the youth of this country. … We are asking you to do your job, to protect the Constitution.”
