Dolla who is up outta of here at the hands of a cold blooded murderer. All I can say is damn, he was very young and too young to die. Whoa, Dolla did not have a chance to live and love life. May he rest in peace and go to heaven. Los Angeles police have refused to confirm the identity of the 21-year-old victim, who died at Cedars Sinai Medical Center after being shot. Dolla, whose real name is Roderick Burton II, was shot at the Beverly Center near West Hollywood and Beverly Hills after an argument with the gunman, his publicist Sue Vannasing told the Los Angeles Times. Police and coroner’s officials have not confirmed the victim’s identity. The shooting occurred around 3:10 p.m. in the parking structure of the popular Westside mall. Dolla, a rapper whose real name is Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot in the head while he and another rapper, D.J. Shabbazz, were waiting in the valet area, according to Dolla’s publicist, Sue Vannasing. A friend who was with the rappers at the Beverly Center as well as a Los Angeles Police Department source also confirmed his identity to The Times. Burton, 21, arrived at LAX from Atlanta earlier in the day and went to the Beverly Center to shop, Vannasing said. After the shooting, Burton was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center a few blocks from the mall, where he died, police said. 21-year-old rapper, born Roderick Anthony Burton II, was signed to Akon’s KonLive imprint through Jive Records. He told Rap-Up about his harsh upbringing in an article that appeared in the magazine last year. He was born into death when his twin died at birth, he witnessed his father commit suicide, his sister is incarcerated, and he had been shot previously. His single, “Who the F*** Is That?” featuring T-Pain, was released in late 2007.

Dolla started updating his Twitter page today, a few hours before he was fatally wounded. “Checc my page out too, www.myspace.com/dolla,” he wrote in what would be his final entry.
